Rhodes' Cowboy Party

Rhodes had a great time at his party for his 3rd birthday. His hero, Daddy's friend Greg, rode one of his horses over for the children to ride.
I personally have had a difficult time believing Rhodes is already 3 years old!

No More Braids or Ponytails

Last week, Cara gave her hair to Locks of Love. We had decided that she definitely needed some cut, so we might as well as give it to someone else! She is enjoying her shorter hair, and the new style does fit her well. But another haircut is not on the horizon any time soon!

Cowboys and Indians

Rhodes and Cara had a great time at a friend's cowboy birthday party. They even got to ride a horse and go on a treasure hunt. For Halloween/Reformation Day Celebration, they 'switched sides' to be Indians. We had two nights of Indians, festival games, and candy!
 

Cyber Shower Gifts for Anna

To help make waiting for Anna a little more fun, the children and I have been participating in "Cyber Shower" gift exchanges with other families from our May 2006 DTC/LID internet group. These pictures are from our first three exchanges. Shelley and Bill from Florida, sent Anna the great gifts in the first picture for "A day at the zoo" (except the cute sherpa boots that I bought for Anna -- I just couldn't resist them!). The Margalas in California sent the Chinese newspaper box and the clothes in the second picture for "Red Threads". The blocks and books were from Mindy in Illinois, for "Learning Fun". We have had a great time buying and wrapping gifts for their babies-to-be; and the kids have had a great time unwrapping these for Anna! Soon I'll post pictures of our October and November swaps.
